The proportion of circular prostatitis (CP) in the general structure of chronic prostatitis is widely known. Many of the existing medicamentous treatments of CP do not produce the expected result. The efficiency of the treatment significantly increases if the therapy includes physiotherapy and phytocorrection.

In the andrology section of the sanatorium “Barnaulsky” 58 CP patients aged 20-38 years selected from the family couples visiting the Sanatorium. All the patients reported pain and disuric syndromes. More than the half suffered from erectile or copulative dysfunctions.

All patients were divided into three groups. All of them received climatic treatment in the sanatorium. Besides, the patients of the 1-st group (17 people) received the proposed 3 –stage complex. The first stage included intake of the biologically active food supplement «Fitopan M» in a form of tee (daily, in the morning). The second and third stages were carried out consequently and consisted of low intensity laser infrared radiation projected on the duodenum and thoraxic lymphatic channel (3 minutes) and the perineal region on two points (J1 and J2, 4 minutes). Later on a 15-minute transrectal microwave treatment was carried out (equipment “Stella-1”). The patients of the second group (20 men) received «Fitopan М» and the laser on the projections of duodenum and thoraxic lymphatic channel. The patients of the third group (21 people) received only «Fitopan М». The treatment of all three groups was conducted daily during 12 days. All groups were of similar patients regarding their age, clinical picture and concurrent diseases. In the first group in 70,7% of the patients a disappearance of the pain syndrom was reported, in the rest 29,3% there was significant reduction of its intensity. The second group reported on pain syndrom disappearance in 40% of the patients, its reduction – in 55%, no dynamics – in 15 % of the patients. Absence of the disuric disorders in the first group was stated in 70,5% of the men, in the rest patients – their significant decrease. In the second group the number of patient without discuric disorders came to 45%, reduction of its intensity was observed in 35%, no dynamics – in 20%. The amount of lecithin body in prostate fluid in the first group increased 2,5 times (р<0.05); in the second group -1,3 time (р>0.05). Strengthening of libido and erection during a sex intercourse was observed in 82,4% of the patients of the first group and in 55% of the patients of the second group. According to the data of the treatment in the third group there was a trend to improvement but the changes were not sufficient. The study of remote results showed that the remission period in the patients of the first group lasts 3 years and more in average with normalization of erectile, copulative and reproductive function. Among the patients of the second and third groups the efficiency of the treatment and the remission period were not stable.

Therefore, the application of our treatment complex comprising transrectal exposure to laser and microwave treatment and diet correction with «Fitopan M» for the therapy of chronic prostatitis displayed a significant reduction of pain and disuric syndromes, stabilization of sex function, normalization of laboratory data and the duration of the obtained clinical effect comparing to other treatments.
