A prophylactic lymphology (Y.I.Borodin, 1994) is a new branch of lymphology using some lymphologic methods for disease prophylaxis and rehabilitation. Prophylactic lymphology may be considered as a constituent part of prophylactic medicine.

The methods of prophylactic lymphology may be applied to the various parts of the lymphatic drainage namely, to the interstitial nonvascular pathways of microcirculation which are the source of the lymphatic production, and to the lymphatic vessels and nodes.

The principle of conservation, restoration or increase of own lymphatic detoxication and lymphatic drainage in organism of man or animal is a base of the used lymphatic methods.

We used the methods of lymphatic stimulation, lymphatic correction and lymphatic protection in sanogenic purposes.

Own (natural) lymphatic detoxication of the poisonous substances gotten into the internal medium of organism and then into the lymphatic bed is fulfilled with biophysical, biochemical and immune processing of tissue liquid and lymph formed from it in the lymphoid structures of this region.

We have influenced on the lymphatic drainage and natural lymphatic detoxication with methods of lymphatic stimulation, lymphatic correction and lymphatic protection in experiment, clinic and also in the prophylactic purposes.

Lymphatic stimulation increasing the lymphatic production and lymphatic flow contributes to the removal of the poisonous substances from the internal medium of organism. The various lymphatic stimulators have been used in this purpose.

The products containing bioflavonoids, microelements and vitamins have been used for the lymphatic correction directed to the sanitation of the lymphatic system injured with pathogenic factors. As our investigation shown, abovementioned substances are contained in many plants of Siberia and Altai.

Many products using for the treatment of diseases of heart, liver, gastric intestinal tract, reproductive organs are produced on the base of these substances (T.A.Astashova, V.V.Astashov, G.F.Chernenko at al.).

Sorbents of the different genesis and compose are used for lymphatic protection i.e. for the prevention of pathologic changes in the lymphatic system. Carbon mineral sorbents SUMS-1 and SIAL (L.N.Rachkovskaya) have been made.

Combing the principles of lymphatic stimulation, lymphatic protection and lymphatic correction the original biological additives successfully used in prophylactic medicine have been developed (T.A.Astashova, V.V.Astashov).
