TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE FOR HEALTH INVIGORATION

The traditional Chinese medicine shares on nine specialized areas: therapy,
external medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, laryngology, orthopedy,
massage and acupuncture. In the West it is known as insertion of the needles,
cauterization and acupuncture.
- Alongside with assignment of special medicines and acupuncture the Traditional
Chinese Medicine uses the following methods: gluing of medical products
on the skin; cuts of a skin; medical gymnastics; massage; imposing of bandages
with beer wax; pinching therapy of a backbone; peloidotherapy; jars; scraper
massage; usage of medicinal pairs and smokes; the Chinese respiratory therapy;
hydrotherapy; introduction of medicines in a skin by ironing.
- «The Doctrine of a balance between yin and yang» - narrates
about two polar forces expressing universal energy of the universe. The
doctrine includes four separate interrelations: Presence of contrasts between
yin and yang. Presence of interrelation between yin and yang. Mutual addition
and restriction yin and yang. Mutual transformation yin and yang.
- «The Theory of five elements». The given concept recognizes
that a tree, fire, metal, the ground and water are the basic components
of world around which are necessary for the person for daily existence,
are connected to the appropriate bodies and are among themselves in dynamic
balance and interrelation. We have some kinds of connection: creating, supervising,
increased control and the return control.
- «The Doctrine about solid and hollow organs ». Explains physiological
functions and pathological changes of internal organs, and also interaction
of them among themselves. Five solid organs: heart, easy, a spleen, a liver
and kidneys. Six hollow organs: a bilious gall, a stomach, a thin and thick
intestines, a bladder and three heaters.
- «The Doctrine about chi, blood and secretions of a body ».
The concept “chi” is more than “function” and includes
some more concepts: - functional activity of body or an organism; character
of the phenomenon; the substances necessary for normal ability to live;
and six pathogenic chi (a wind, a cold, heat, dampness, dryness and fire).
Concept “blood”, - one of the basic components which support
functions and life of an organism. «secretions of a body » enter
into concept all normal liquids of a body and bodies (sweats, tear, gastrin,
liquor etc.).
- «The Doctrine about meridians and collateral vessels». Meridians
- Manual: easy; a thin gut; hearts; three heaters; a pericardium; a thick
gut. Foot: spleens; a bladder; kidneys; a bilious gall; a liver; a stomach.
8 Wonderful meridians. Vessels - 15 vessels Be - Lo departing from meridians;
small branches of vessels Put - lо; and taking place on a surface
on a skin vessels Fu - Io.
- «The Doctrine about the cause of diseases and their displays».
The main causes of diseases: six “misfortunes”, rendering external
influence: a wind, a cold, summer heat, humidity, dryness and fire.
Seven deviations of mental character, provoking internal damages: pleasure;
fury; cares, or melancholy; to mountain, or burdensome meditation; grief;
fear and fear, or horror. External damages, infringement of a nutrition,
an excessive physical exhaustion etc.
- «The Doctrine about mechanisms of development of illness ».
Development of illness is connected with: infringement of a parity between
yin and yang; between qi and blood; between qi and liquids of a body; between
secrets of a body and blood; with occurrence in an organism of a cold, dampness,
dryness or fire; with infringement of movement qi on meridians; with
a unbalance of feelings and with the unhealthy changes occur inside bodies
and systems.
- The essence of the Chinese medicine consists of three basic and fundamental
principles: harmony between the person and the nature. Consideration of
the person as an organic single whole. Diagnostics and treatment depending
on syndromes.
- Occurrence and development of illness are considered by the Chinese medicine
as result of struggle between protective forces of an organism and infringement
causing illness, as display of an imbalance between yin and yang or as a
result of the internal reasons existing inside the human body
