INVESTIGATIONS OF LYMPHOID ORGANS DURING PREGNANCY IN OLDER ANIMALS TREATED WITH PHYTOCOMPLEXES WITH RAISED CONCENTRATIONS OF PHYTOHORMONES

“Lymphoid theory” of ageing is considered to be one of the fundamental mechanisms of ageing. The given investigation shows the opportunity to reveal the ways of reaction of lymphatic system by means of influence of phytospecies on adaptive processes in old animals. These phytospecies are proved to contain polyphenolic substances and plant hormones (phytoestrogens) in high concentration. The experiment was carried out on 60 female rats. The age 12 month has been chosen as period of fading of reproductive cycle. Animals of experimental group were given with food phytospecies with the high maintenance of herbs-superconcentrators of bioflavonoids and phytoestrogens - “PikSil” and “Garmonia Sil”. The phytospecies were given within 30 days up to planned pregnancy. Object of investigation - iliac lymph nodes and ovaries. Phytoestrogens promote change of hormonal status of an animal in the physiological period of “reproductive fading”. Antioxidants suppress processes of lipid peroxidation (POL), one of pathogenetic mechanisms of ageing.

Results. Pregnancy has come in 40 % of animals in control group. The destruction of embryos before implantation was observed in 59,1 %, after implantation - 45,4 %, the general embryonal death rate occurred in 78,8 %. It has been revealed that 60,6 % embryos were alive and 40,5 % were dead. All parameters in groups with intake of “PikSil” and “Garmonia Sil” do not differ authentically - pregnancy has come in 60 % of animals. The destruction of embryos before implantation takes place in 45,3 %, after – in 39,7 %. The general embryonal death rate was 69,3 %. Alive embryos were revealed in 75,4 %, dead – in 24,7 %.

The yellow bodies covered by a fibrous capsule were defined in ovarian cortical zone in the control group. Regressive changes, germination by connecting tissue, vacuolar dystrophy of lutein cells were revealed in 80,1 % of yellow bodies. Full atresion has been revealed in the part of yellow bodies. A lot of collagenic fibres were defined in medullary zone. Single primordial follicles were defined in ovarian cortical zone in the groups with intake of “PikSil” and “Garmonia Sil”. Yellow bodies were covered by a fibrous capsule, regressive changes of a cellular component were observed in 68 % of yellow bodies only. Sclerotic processes in the medullary zone were reduced considerably. The increase in the areas of the germinative centers in 1,8 and 2,2 times accordingly was marked in the iliac lymph node of the pregnant animals that were given “PikSil” and “Garmonia Sil” as compared with the control group. The relative areas of primary lymphoid nodules have decreased in 2,56 and 1,6 times. The relative sizes of the internodular zone, thymus-dependent paracortic zone also have decreased for 62,1 % and 35,7 % accordingly. The total area of cortical substance has decreased. More expressed changes were noted in the medullary substance in the groups with intake of “PikSil” and, especially, “Garmonia Sil”. The relative areas of medullary zone increase considerably (in 1,78 times and 4,56 times). It is necessary to note expansion of all sinus system of the node in this group. The total quantity of immunoblasts and immature plasmocytes increases in the medullary substance. Hence the components of the given phytospecies influence on drainage system of a lymph node and cause stimulation of B-dependent zone that testifies to activation of the humoral immunity.

The use of phytospecies containing phytoestrogens and bioflavonoids promotes preservation and prolongation of reproductive activity in the end of reproductive cycle by means of hormonal status modulation and antioxidant effect. It is proved by the changes in the ovarian tissue morphologically and – by the processes of implantation and nidation clinically. Reduction of quantity of the lost embryos is likely to be the result of action of bioflavonoids which promote improvement of utero-placentary blood circulation. Changes in the regional iliac lymph node testify in favor of longer safety of potential opportunities of the lymph node, reduction of sclerotic processes in conditions of pregnancy in the groups with intake of “PikSil” and “Garmonia Sil”.
