The work purpose — working out and practical application of a way of conservative treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks. For the purpose of conservative treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks in sanatorium “Barnaulskiy” on which base the Regional advisory-methodical vertebro-neurologic centre works, were the way of conservative treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks (patent of invention RU 2368401) is developed.

The essence of this way consists that treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks includes carrying out medicamentous blockade and electric stimulation of a place of introduction an anesthetic a pulse electric current. The way of treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks is carried out as follows. The patient is in a prone position on a stomach. Carry out blockade at pathology of a spinal cord and area backbone intervertebral apertures of lumbar vertebras of a corresponding segment with hernia presence intervertebral a disk. After that separate a syringe from needles, thus the needle remains in a body of the patient. Then to a needle attach the anode. On a back surface of a shin establish a superficial electrode which connects to the cathode. After connection of all electrodes of 50 Hz, a current strength 10-15 mA, duration of an electric impulse 0,2 ms, duration of procedure of 8-10 min. daily, on course of treatment of 10-12 procedures carry out electric stimulation by a pulse electric current by frequency.

Throughout 2008, 2009 by means of this way have been treated 259 patients with hernias lumbar intervertebral disks at the age from 24 till 59 years. At the reference to all patients it was carried out magnetic resonance imaging or a computer tomography, ultrasonic research of lumbar department of a backbone about revealing of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks. In a clinical picture at patients the painful syndrome of various degrees of expressiveness, and also impellent and sensitive frustration at level of the bottom finitenesses prevailed.

As a result of the spent treatment at the majority sick (204 — 78,8%) has been reached proof expressed (confirmed at the further dynamic researches) positive result. At 36 (13,9%) patients expressiveness of a positive effect was less, or the effect of treatment proceeded smaller quantity of time and it was required to spend additional courses of treatment. 19 sick (7,3%) subjectively did not mark improvement while results of control researches testified to reduction of expressiveness hernia. Application of a new way of conservative treatment of hernias lumbar intervertebral disks has not revealed cases of deterioration of a condition sick, both clinical, and morfo-functional.

Thus, use of a new way of conservative treatment allows to provide treatment of patients with hernias lumbar intervertebral disks. Result of this treatment is elimination of a painful syndrome, reduction of volume of a hernia of a disk, restoration radix conductivity.
