Academy of Psychopuncture and Oriental Medicine “Ying and Yang”,Veliky Novgorod, Russia

Objective: to justify the use of chakra points in acupuncture practice as well as their practical application for various treatments.

Methods: Clinical observation of patients, applying traditional Chinese treatment methods, Korean Sutczi-Chimsur therapy, methods of functional diagnostics and laboratory methods while conducting diagnostics.

Results: an approach to treatment of illnesses by means of affecting the chakra and dantyang points is offered.

In the human body there is an energy system along with the physiological systems responsible for the body and its metabolic processes. This system organizes and regulates our emotional, intellectual, psychological and spiritual existence as well as coordinates all of the body functions.

This energy system is a substance consisting of energy fields. Among them are the seven energy centers (chakras), dantyang and a lot of energy channels along which the energy exchange is being conducted. The most important vital energy (Prana, Chi) is concentrated in the chakra and dantyang points.

There are a lot of energy centers in the human body but traditionally one points out the basic ones – 7 chakras and 5 dantyangs, which are situated along the principle energy channels.

Each of the 7 chakras and 5 dantyang are centers that have and active influence on the energy channels and therefore the human body as a whole. Each of the chakras and dantyang is characterized by a certain influence on the general state of a person and is responsible for different qualities and abilities. Lack or distortion of energy leads to function failures in all of the body systems.

Chakras and dantyang influence on the physical and psychical levels.

We have conducted a thorough study of applying acupuncture for various treatments with the use of chakra and dantyang points.

Connected with channels V,GI,RP.
3 chakra, Manipura, on the RP 10 level and 5-7 cm above the navel.
Iz localized on the back between the 2 and 3 lumbar vertebrae. Connected with channels RP,F,VB,E

Mechanism of using the chakra and dantyang points as well as their combination with known acupuncture points was worked out. Chakra and dantyang points can be influenced by means of acupuncture, plaster application, oils inunction etc.

Conslusion. Use of the chakra points and their projections allows to improve the treatment quality significantly as well as influence the psychical, physical and spiritual spheres of people’s being.
