| E.V. Donchenko | VASCULAR ATHEROSCLEROSIS AND POSSIBILITIES OF ECOLOGICAL HUMAN MEDICINE IN ITS TREATMENT |
| Clinic of Ecological Medicine, Saint Petersburg, Russia |
Vascular atherosclerosis is a disease, which leads to severe complications such as infarctions, strokes and vascular aneurism. Until now the mortality from atherosclerosis complications ranks as the first in the whole world. The existing methods of conservative treatment do not result in the lowered probability of lethal complications and increase of the lifespan.
At present the surgical methods are used more and more widely in the treatment of vascular atherosclerosis. But these methods also do not influence significantly the increase of the lifespan and lowering of the mortality in this patient group.
Within the limits of ecological human medicine the approaches to the treatment are developed, which make it possible to achieve the high efficiency in the treatment of such severe diseases.
We have examined and treated more than 3,000 patients with different atherosclerosis manifestations. The data for 146 patients have been statistically processed. The age of the patients varies from 45 to 92 years. The mean age is 66 years +(-) 8.5 years. Out of them 95 patients are males and 51 patients are females.
The following groups have been distinguished: aneurism of abdominal aorta (12 patients); vascular atherosclerosis of the lower extremities (77 patients); atherosclerosis of coronary arteries (32 patients); cerebral atherosclerosis (25 patients).
It should be noted that all patients had been receiving pharmacotherapy for the long time before taking medical advice at our clinic. Surgery on the coronary arteries (stenting, coronary artery bypass grafting) was performed in one third of the patients; 5 patients had an artificial pacemaker; 23 persons had myocardial infarction in anamnesis, insults were in the medical history of 15 patients.
All patients were examined according to existing standards (clinical, biochemical investigations, ECG, ultrasound examination); besides that, we investigated the lipid peroxidation processes and the condition of the antioxidant protection system.
All patients received the treatment basing on the ecological human medicine methods including the endoecological rehabilitation program based on the patented method of hyperthermal intestinal dialysis (E.V. Donchenko, patent No. 2078555 of 13.06.93), enterosorption, methods for hepatic and pancreatic secretion drainage, visceral massage according to the Old Russian method. Besides that, the therapeutic program included immunomodulating, antioxidant therapy, modern homeopathic treatment (organotherapy, antihomotoxicology, vaccine-like, isopathic therapy), hirudotherapy, osteopathy, physiotherapy.
The effectiveness of such therapeutic approach was 92%. The subjective improvement, i.e. disappearance or relieve of symptom intensity, was observed in 100% of the patients. 92% of the patients showed positive laboratory and instrumental dynamic.
Follow-up period was in the range of 6 months – 12 years. Two female patients at the age of 82 and 102 years died during this period in the group of the examined patients.
The duration of the first therapeutic course varied from 4-5 months to 2 years. Subsequently the courses were repeated 1-2 times per year and lasted for 1-2 months.
Example: 1996. Patient A., 68 years old. Exertional angina pectoris, II functional class. Ciliary arrhythmia (paroxysms). Atherosclerosis of aorta, dissecting aneurism of the abdominal aorta. Atherosclerosis of coronary arteries, cerebral atherosclerosis. Chronic obstructive bronchitis. Atherosclerotic cardiosclerosis. Cardiac insufficiency II A.
Cholelithiasis (concrement of gallbladder, 4.5 cm), nonfunctioning gallbladder. Atopic colitis. (Habitual) constipation. Chronic pancreatitis. Aneurism of the abdominal aorta (d – 4 cm) for the space of 5 cm.
The patient was observed and treated for 11 years. At the last examination diameter of the abdominal aorta was normal (2.0 cm). The scarry thickening of the aorta wall was revealed for the space of 3.5 cm. There was no hospitalization during the follow-up period of 11 years, the subjective general sensations were satisfactory.
Thus, the suggested technology of ecological human medicine aimed at activation of own regeneration possibilities of the organism shows the extremely high effectiveness and safety and absence of side effects.
